The Pope welcomed Malta’s president along with Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg, posing for photos together.
‘The President then met with Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, accompanied by Vatican Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, Archbishop Paul R. Gallagher.’
‘The Holy See Press Office reported the talks at the Secretariat of State were cordial with an exchange of views on the current international situation, with particular attention given to the Middle East and Ukraine.’
