Police To Start Distributing Voting Documents Starting Today

The Electoral Commission has announced that the distribution of voting documents for the upcoming General Election will begin today, Monday 4 May 2026.
Police officers will carry out deliveries daily until Friday 15 May, between 8.00 am and 1.00 pm, and again from 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
These documents will only be delivered to the address listed on the Electoral Register. A responsible person aged over 16 must be present to receive them. This individual must be a relative or someone who resides or works at the address.
Upon receipt, a signature will be required on a mobile device provided by the attending officer.
The Commission has emphasised the importance of safeguarding the voting document, as it is required in order to vote on polling day, scheduled for Saturday 30 May 2026.
The revised Electoral Register, published on 1 May 2026, forms the basis for the election. Eligible voters who are not listed, or whose personal details are incorrect, have until Friday 22 May 2026 to submit an appeal to a Revising Officer.
However, in accordance with the law, from 16 May 2026 onwards the hearing of pending applications will be deferred, making early action advisable.
Voters are strongly encouraged to verify their registration status. This can be done either at the Electoral Office or through the Commission’s website using the “Can I vote?” feature. Failure to do so may result in the loss of the right to vote.
