Police To Investigate Perjury Allegations Against Yorgen Fenech During His Trial

The police will be investigating allegations made by David Casa of suspected perjury by Yorgen Fenech during his trial.

The Attorney General’s office confirmed that these concerns have been brought forth to the Commissioner of Police for investigation.

David Casa, a Nationalist MEP, requested the investigation based on Fenech’s sworn testimony, given during the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder trial, that Electrogas and 17 Black were entirely unrelated.

Casa argues that this claim by Fenech should be scrutinised against the documentary and financial evidence concerning 17 Black and its links to Electrogas.

Casa is calling on the police to secure the full recording and transcript of Fenech’s testimony, compare his statements with the evidence in their possession, and pursue prosecution if warranted.
