Police Officer Johann Vella Officially Discharged From Hospital

Johann Vella, the police officer who was injured during the Ta’ Giorni shooting last month, has officially been discharged from hospital.

Taking to social media, Vella said that he is now recovering at home, and that this would not have been possible ‘without the wonderful care I received from each and every person at Mater Dei Hospital.’

‘It would also not have been possible without the support I received from my fellow brothers and sisters in the police force, friends and above all the love and support from my wonderful family.’

‘I now start another step in my recovery journey, but I am getting stronger everyday and I will never give up’, he concluded. ‘Thank you to everyone who has been with me through this journey, I will never forget it.’
