Police Forward Alleged Gozo ‘Ghost Attack’ Case To Curia, Malta Daily Learns

According to inside sources, Malta Daily was informed that the Gozo residence ghost attack case has been closed by the police but relegated to the Curia’s investigations.

According to Talk News, the Victoria Police Station received a call between the 22nd and 23rd of September at around 2.00am from a group requesting assistance after claiming they were experiencing unexplained events inside the property.

Police officers went to the residence, where they found four adults and a minor outside. The group, all Maltese, had been staying in Gozo for a holiday. No injuries were reported, although those present appeared to be distressed.

The group alleged that one of the adults woke after hearing someone calling out "Mum", initially believing it was the minor. She then claimed to have heard a voice and seen a shadow beneath a bedroom door. The others allegedly reported witnessing the same, while the dog inside the residence also began behaving unusually.

As they attempted to leave the property, one member of the group alleged that he was grabbed from behind and thrown onto a bed by an unknown figure.

The group also claimed they witnessed objects moving on their own, including an oven door repeatedly opening and closing, a fan moving across a room, and microwave buttons activating without anyone touching them.

Police reportedly asked whether anyone else was inside the residence, but the group said no one else was present. Officers remained at the scene until the group left, and an official police report was filed.
