PN Proposes Financial Support For Student Parents Under 35

The Nationalist Party has proposed new financial support for students under the age of 35 who are also parents, as part of measures aimed at encouraging young people to continue their education while raising a family.

Under the proposal, eligible student parents would receive additional assistance equivalent to the minimum wage, helping them balance academic commitments with parental responsibilities.

The PN said the measure is intended to ensure that young parents are not forced to choose between furthering their studies and supporting their families. The party argued that financial pressures often discourage young people from continuing their education once they become parents, limiting long-term career opportunities.

The proposed support forms part of the party’s wider youth-focused proposals, which aim to encourage continued education, career advancement and greater financial stability for young families.

The PN said the initiative would help more young parents remain in education and continue building their professional future.
