PN Propose Expanding Tax-Bands To Avoid COLA Being Taxed Each Year

Speaking during a press conference, the Nationalist Party proposed expanding the tax bands so that the cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) is not taxed each year.

This would see the tax bands being widened every year by the same amount of COLA to match increases.

Anyone making any increase in income due to COLA would not end up in a higher tax bracket and pay more due to the cost-of-living adjustment,

This forms part of the PN’s new tax proposals, which would see the tax threshold rising to €80,000 from the current €60,000.
