PN Present Plea To Speaker To Convene Parliament After Yorgen Fenech Verdict

The Nationalist Party has presented a formal plea to the Speaker of the House, Carmelo Abela, requesting that parliament be convened urgently following the verdict that saw Yorgen Fenech declared not guilty in relation to the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

PN Leader Alex Borg said that, as a party, they respect the decision of the jurors, and are conscious of the massive responsibility that they were bestowed with.

However, said Borg, the recommendations of the public inquiry were not implemented in five years.

Abela said that he will now have to review the formal plea by the party, comparing with it the viewpoint of the government so that he can come to a decision.
