PN Not 40K Voters Behind But Still Much Work To Be Done, Says Alex Borg

Partit Nazzjonalista leader Alex Borg said the PN is no longer 40,000 votes behind Labour but warned that significant work still lies ahead if the party is to earn the trust needed to govern.
Addressing the PN General Council, Dan Hu l-Mument, held in Gozo, Borg said the party remains the underdog and must continue walking streets, visiting homes and listening to people’s concerns.
Borg said recent surveys show that more voters are beginning to see hope in the PN, but stressed that this shift must be translated into sustained engagement and credible alternatives.
He said the party’s focus is on improving quality of life, ensuring fair economic growth, strengthening communities and restoring respect in governance.
The PN leader criticised the government for what he described as crisis management and a lack of long term planning, pointing to problems at Gozo Channel, the housing situation and the resignation of former minister Roderick Galdes.
In his speech, Borg also expressed solidarity with all those impacted by Storm Harry this past week, as well as with all the disciplined forces who worked hard to keep the community safe.
