PN leader Alex Borg’s Brother, David Borg, To Contest PN Executive position

David Borg, brother of recently elected Nationalist Party (PN) leader Alex Borg, has announced that he will be contesting for a position on the PN Executive.
In a post shared on social media, Borg wrote, “Il-Partit Nazzjonalista nibet fija l-imħabba lejn il-politika – politika ta’ servizz – politika tan-nies.
Huwa għalhekk li bl-appoġġ tagħkom fl-elezzjoni tal-Eżekuttiv tal-Partit Nazzjonalista sejjer inkompli nisħaq li l-Partit ikompli jkun viċin in-nies sabiex ikun l-għażla naturali għan-nies.”
He added that the Nationalist Party instilled in him a love for politics, a politics of service, and a politics for the people.
The announcement comes shortly after Cynthia Galea, partner of former PN leader and recent leadership contender Adrian Delia, also revealed her plans to contest for a seat on the PN Executive.
Galea, a lawyer from Gozo, said she wants to contribute her perspective “as a mother, a Gozitan and a lawyer, so that a wider politics that is more representative and closer to the people is built.” She added, “It is easy to complain, easy to say what should be done. But if we truly want change, it is essential everyone pitches in to offer what they know and believe in.”
Delia publicly showed support by sharing her post, writing, “Together we can make it.”
The PN Executive election follows the recent leadership race between Alex Borg and Adrian Delia, which saw Borg secure the top role in the party.
Now, with both camps putting forward new names for the Executive, the next internal election is shaping up to be another key test of unity and direction for the Nationalist Party.
