PN Leader Alex Borg Visits Puttinu’s Homes in London

Newly elected PN leader Alex Borg has visited Puttinu Cares’ residential homes in London, together with his partner Sarah Bajada. The visit highlighted the Puttinu's ongoing support for Maltese and Gozitan families who travel to the UK for medical treatment.

Puttinu Cares has invested in several accommodation spaces in London to help families who need to stay close to hospitals during long or difficult treatments. These homes provide comfort, stability and relief from the heavy financial burden that comes with staying abroad for medical care. Their purpose is to offer families peace of mind at a time when they need it most.

Puttinu Cares is a Maltese organisation that supports children and adults with cancer. It offers emotional help, practical assistance and accommodation for families who must travel overseas for treatment, especially in the UK. The charity aims to make a difficult journey a little easier for those going through it.

Following the visit, Alex Borg thanked donors, medical staff and volunteers for the positive impact they make on vulnerable families, describing Puttinu’s London homes as a place that brings hope to hundreds of Maltese families every year.

His partner, Sarah Bajada, who is a Maltese TV presenter and author, is also a strong supporter of Puttinu Cares. She has been organising Figolla Decorating Kits during Easter for several years.

The kits are designed for busy parents who want to enjoy the tradition with their children without needing to bake from scratch.

Beyond being a fun activity, the initiative teaches children the importance of giving back. All proceeds go to Puttinu Cares, raising €1,000 in the first year and €2,000 last year. She described this visit as a an extra special one for her.
