PN Leader Alex Borg Says Government Must Develop Journalism Reforms Alongside Journalists

Opposition and Partit Nazzjonalista Leader Alex Borg says that any reforms introduced to protect independent journalism must be developed alongside journalists.

During a meeting with the Institute of Maltese Journalists, Borg discussed the Public Inquiry into the Daphne Caruana Galizia assassination, as well as PN’s proposals to safeguard local journalism.

He stressed that consulting with industry professionals and implementing their recommendations was the best way for “journalists to be better protected and freer to do their work.”
