PN Leader Alex Borg Lays Flowers At Independence Monument

Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg laid flowers at the Independence Day Monument outside Valletta alongside other important political figures in a special ceremony today.
Marking the 62nd anniversary since Malta received its independence from the UK in 1964, Borg attended the ceremony alongside President Myriam Spiteri Debono and Minister Owen Bonnici, who stood in for Prime Minister Robert Abela.
The ceremony included a pontifical mass held by Archbishop Charles Scicluna at Valletta’s St John’s Co-Cathedral, along with a parade by the Armed Forces of Malta.
