PM Welcomes Back Maltese Who Returned Safe From UAE

In a statement, Prime Minister Robert Abela welcomed the Maltese who were successfully evacuated from the United Arab Emirates after the escalation of conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran.

Abela thanked all those who made this possible and welcomed the Maltese back to their families.

In a separate post, Abela revealed that he had a phone call with European Council President Antonio Costa about an upcoming summit in Brussels later this month regarding the conflict and developments in the Middle East.

Abela emphasised Malta’s position as one pushing for deescalation and for peace to prevail.

‘I guarantee Malta’s stability and security’, said the Prime Minister, ‘one that remains string against international impacts. The Mediterranean has to remain a region where prosperity is built.’
