During a political event in Ħal Luqa, Prime Minister Robert Abela urged voters to support Labour in the upcoming election, arguing that the party’s “Int Malta” manifesto contains measures designed to deliver meaningful improvements to people’s daily lives.

Addressing supporters, Abela said the proposals outlined in the manifesto were made possible by Malta’s strong economic performance, describing the country’s economic stability as the “pediment” on which Labour’s plans are built.

Abela stressed that the government has already proven its credibility through policies aimed at shielding families and businesses from rising costs, particularly by maintaining stable energy prices despite international economic pressures.

He described the manifesto as one that supports citizens “from before you’re even born,” highlighting Labour’s pledge to introduce measures spanning healthcare, education, social welfare and economic support.

However, Abela insisted that the proposals can only become reality if Labour secures electoral backing at the polls.

“For these measures to take place, what is necessary?” Abela asked supporters. “Your vote.”

He said voting was essential to transform the manifesto from “just a book” into concrete action capable of bringing lasting change to people’s lives.
