A deeply emotional moment unfolded inside Castille earlier today during the celebrations of Malta’s freshly graduated law students, just one day after their official graduation ceremony.

Prime Minister Robert Abela welcomed a large group of new lawyers inside Castille during their graduation celebrations. The atmosphere was lively and full of excitement as the Prime Minister, himself a lawyer, congratulated the graduates and joined in their celebrations.

Amid the joyful chaos, one young graduate approached the Prime Minister to share a personal story about her grandfather Toni, who suffers from leukemia and is currently receiving end-of-life care at St. Vincent De Paul Residence, she explained.

The graduate, speaking with emotion, said that her grandfather’s health had deteriorated significantly and that he was at the final stage of his life.

Moved by her words, Prime Minister Abela immediately agreed to record a personal video message for Toni.

Stepping aside for a moment, the Prime Minister recorded a heartfelt message, telling Toni that he and his family were in his thoughts and prayers. He wished him courage and reassurance, sending strength during this difficult time.

Abela then offered the young graduate words of encouragement, praising her love and dedication toward her grandfather.

Before their exchange ended, the Prime Minister made a sincere promise that in the coming days he would personally visit Toni at St. Vincent De Paul Residence.
