Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by Clint Camilleri, Minister for Gozo and Planning, continued his round of visits in Gozo to witness first-hand the preparations and festive spirit taking shape across the island ahead of Christmas.

The visit showcased the dedication of workers, the strength of local businesses, and the cultural traditions that form an essential part of Malta’s identity.

The first stop was the Gozo Maintenance Directorate, where workers are currently preparing the decorations that will illuminate the island’s streets.

These efforts aim to give Gozo a distinctive festive atmosphere enjoyed by all its communities.

The Prime Minister then visited Savina, observing the creation of artisanal gift sets made from Gozitan products.

Some of these gifts will be presented by Abela to Pope Leo XIV and other international leaders during upcoming official visits.

At Vini e Capricci, part of Abraham Holdings, the Prime Minister noted strong commercial activity as employees prepared seasonal hampers and other festive products.

The visits highlighted the hard work and growing success of Gozitan businesses during this busy period.

The day continued with stops in Xagħra and Nadur to admire artistic nativity scenes crafted by local enthusiasts and renowned artist Jean Paul Portelli.

PM Robert Abela praised Gozo’s unique spirit, noting that the island’s blend of innovation, tradition, and community makes Christmas in Gozo particularly special.
