PM Robert Abela And Equality Minister Rosianne Cutajar Attend Pride 2026 Celebrations

Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by Minister Rosianne Cutajar, attended Pride 2026 yesterday in Valletta.

Abela met with the attendees of the parade in front of Triton fountain before the parade began.

On social media, the Prime Minister stated that “Malta is at its best when everyone feels free to be who they are, with dignity, respect and without fear.”

“Today, we celebrated a Malta that embraces everyone,” he concluded.

Rosianne Cutajar, who is the Minister for Equality and Civil Rights, also attended the celebration, sharing that in her opinion, pride is “is more than a celebration it is a reminder of the progress we have made, the work that remains, and our responsibility to keep moving forward.”

She expressed that she is “always proud to support and celebrate queer talent,” after getting her make up done for the event by an artist who is part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
