PM, PN & ADPD Leader Attend Pride Because They Agree On Its Importance, Says Cyrus Engerer

Taking to social media, former Labour MEP Cyrus Engerer issued a statement saying that he is glad the Prime Minister, the leader of the Opposition and the Green’s leader agree on the importance of Pride.
‘It is why they attend’, wrote Engerer.
This comes after PN MP Conrad Borg Manche’s statements on Pride, wherein he alleged that some members of NGO MGRM agreed with his statements of the irrelevance of Pride today.
‘Pride means a young person in Malta grows up knowing there is nothing to hide. Pride means the rights we won are rights we will keep’, said Engerer.
‘Pride means we remember the people who marched when there were fifty of them and when it carried a cost. Pride means joy in the open, claimed by people who were once told to keep it private.’
‘There will always be those who would rather we left the streets and went quiet. There always have been. We are not going anywhere. See you on the street in September, and the year after that.’
