PL Proposes Government Fund To Help Residents Whose Homes Are Damaged By Nearby Construction
Local

The Labour Party has proposed a new fund aimed at protecting residents who suffer damages caused by nearby construction works.

In its electoral manifesto, Labour said that over recent years it introduced measures to better protect third parties affected by construction, including the 138 helpline as well as free services from architects and lawyers.

The party is now proposing the creation of a dedicated fund for damages suffered by residents due to nearby construction projects. Under the proposal, the Government would take responsibility for recovering the damages, helping affected residents avoid long legal battles and complicated procedures.

The proposal is aimed at giving people more peace of mind when construction takes place close to their homes, while also ensuring faster support and compensation in cases where damage occurs.

This is one of the many proposals being put forward as part of the Labour Party’s electoral manifesto, which was officially unveiled this evening ahead of the next general election taking place on 30th May.
