PL Proposes Funding Therapy Costs For Under 18-Year Olds With Disabilities

The Labour government is proposing funding the full cost of therapy required by children under the age of eighteen with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions.

These would include, the Prime Minister announced, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and physiotherapy.

The parents of these children, who take their children for therapy or hospital appointments, will benefit from five days of paid carers’ leave, and this leave may be taken in hourly blocks.
