PL MP Ramona Attard Calls for Free School Lunches for Children

PL MP Ramona Attard has highlighted the need to provide free lunches for children at school, noting that some pupils currently attend school without a proper meal.
She said, “There are students attending school without lunch. It is time to consider whether a nutritious hot meal should be provided by the school itself.’
She added, “these meal could be prepared by the students themselves as part of their educational experience, combining practical skills with learning about healthy eating.”
Attard emphasised that this initiative would ensure that children in both primary and secondary schools receive at least one nutritious meal per day.
