PL & PN Meet To Discuss Malta Vision 2050

A delegation from the Nationalist Party, led by PN Deputy Leader Alex Perici Calascione, received a presentation on Malta Vision 2050 from the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri.

The meeting marked the second discussion between the Government and the Opposition on this strategic document.

The purpose of the meeting was to update the Opposition on changes introduced by the Government following the public consultation process.

These updates included proposals submitted by various stakeholders, among them contributions made directly by the Nationalist Party. The discussion focused on how the revised document reflects feedback received during this consultation phase.

One of the key points raised was the shared understanding that Vision 2050 must be supported by long-term decisions and planning.

Both sides acknowledged that its implementation will span several years and will therefore require continuity across successive administrations.

Alex Perici Calascione was accompanied by the Shadow Minister for the Economy and Enterprise, Jerome Caruana Cilia, George Vital Zammit, who coordinated the PN’s proposals after an extensive consultation process, and Damien Spiteri, Chief of Staff at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
