PG Group Highlights Major Growth Projects At 10th Annual General Meeting

PG Group has unveiled extensive expansion plans of retail, logistics and property projects as it held its 10th Annual General Meeting on 27 October, reaffirming its commitment to long-term growth while reporting another year of strong financial performance.
Addressing shareholders, CEO Mr. Gianluca Borg highlighted the Group's ongoing investments, including the extension of the PAVI complex in Qormi, the construction of a new logistics centre and the evaluation of future development opportunities at a recently acquired site close to PAMA in Mosta.

The flagship Qormi project is set to transform the existing PAVI complex into what is expected to become Malta's largest retail destination, adding approximately 16,000 square metres of retail space and 600 additional parking spaces. The development is targeted for completion during 2027.
Borg described the project as a significant milestone for the Group and a reflection of its confidence in the continued growth and evolution of Malta's retail sector.
The Group is also progressing with the construction of a new 9,000-square-metre logistics facility, which is expected to enhance operational efficiencies and support the growing requirements of its retail operations.
Meanwhile, studies are underway to evaluate the best use of a recently acquired site adjacent to PAMA Shopping Village in Mosta.
Against this backdrop of continued investment, PG Group reported another year of record performance. Turnover increased by 9.3% to €220.8 million, while profit after tax amounted to €12.9 million.
Commenting on the results, Mr. Borg said the Group's performance reflects the strength of its brands, the dedication of its employees and the effectiveness of a long-term strategy focused on sustainable growth and disciplined investment.
During the year, PG Group continued to strengthen its retail portfolio through a number of strategic initiatives, including the opening of St George's Mall in St Julian's, the launch of a new PAVI-PAMA supermarket, a new Zara Home outlet and the introduction of the Euronics brand to Malta, marking the Group's entry into the consumer electronics market.

Looking ahead, Mr. Borg said the Group remains optimistic about future opportunities despite rising costs and increasing competition, noting that its diversified business model, strong financial position and ongoing investment programme place it in a strong position for continued growth.
With several major projects underway and a growing presence across retail, property and consumer services, PG Group enters the new financial year with significant momentum and a clear focus on creating long-term value for customers, employees and shareholders.
