In a social media video, Peppi Azzopardi called for the right of a worker to be able to work from home to tackle traffic and the hours spent commuting.

Starting his video by saying he agrees with a four day week, he said that not only do we not have the four day week but due to the hours spent in traffic, workers are working at least 8 extra weeks per week.

Workers are paying for this, he said. Saying that he appreciates the alternative traffic suggestions the Minister is proposing, Peppi said something radical is needed.

‘If you are a worker who can and want work from home. You should have that right. The employer cannot object’, said Azzopardi.

He pointed to traffic congestion also caused as students had to commute for lectures when they could have easily attended them online.

‘It is not fair that a worker is giving an extra day a week instead of spending that time with family’, he said.
