Representatives from Maltese political party Momentum paid an official visit to Ġ.F. Abela Junior College earlier today, where they met students and staff to discuss issues affecting young people and the country’s future.

The delegation, led by Momentum leader Arnold Cassola and General Secretary Mark Camilleri Gambin, was welcomed by Vice Principal Roderick Vassallo during the visit to the college campus.

Discussions with students focused heavily on concerns surrounding the impact of Artificial Intelligence on future careers, as well as the importance of youth participation in political debates and decision-making.

The delegation also spent time interacting informally with students in the common area.

Momentum used the visit to encourage first-time voters to engage actively in politics, arguing that meaningful political change depends on younger generations moving beyond Malta’s traditional two-party system.

Speaking afterwards, Camilleri Gambin said young people were “highly capable and rightfully asking tough questions” about the future, adding that “a bidla ta’ vera” depends on new voters demanding transparency, good governance and social justice.
