Part-Time Employment In Malta Rises 8.1% In June 2025

According to recent data provided by Jobsplus, full-time employment in Malta saw a 4.2% increase in June 2025 compared with the same month in 2024. Primary jobs rose by 5.5% over the same period.
The number of full-time self-employed grew by 900, while full-time employees increased by 11,116. Employment growth was observed for both genders, with male full-time employment up 3.9% and female full-time employment up 4.6% compared with June 2024.
Part-time employment also recorded an increase, rising 8.1% year-on-year. Those holding a part-time job alongside a full-time role totalled 47,504, marking a 10.1% increase from June 2024.
