Parliament Officially Reopens After 2026 General Election

Prime Minister Robert Abela has officially been sworn in to parliament as it reopens for the new legislature following the 2026 general election.
The sitting was held for the first time by the new speaker of the house, Carmelo Abela following his election mere moments ago.
Alex Borg was officially sworn in as leader of the Opposition, with former PN Leader Bernard Grech elected as Deputy Speaker of the House.
