Parking Facility Plan For Over 450 Vehicles Launched At Malta National Park

New parking facilities forming part of the Malta National Park masterplan have officially been announced as part of a wider investment aimed at improving infrastructure and accessibility within the area.
The project, headed by the Public Works Department, will provide space for approximately 450 vehicles spread across two levels, including dedicated parking bays for persons with disabilities.

The planned car park will feature modern infrastructure and advanced technology designed to enhance both safety and convenience for visitors.
Among the systems included are high-quality lighting and ventilation, fire detection and firefighting systems, ticketing systems and smart parking technology aimed at improving traffic management and the overall user experience.

The development will also include lifts, stairwells and fire lobbies equipped with certified fire doors, allowing safe and accessible movement across all levels of the facility.
The announcement marks another key step in the ongoing development of the Malta National Park project, with the parking facilities expected to support increased visitor numbers and improve access to the surrounding area.

The project is expected to involve a total capital investment of €13 million.
