Parents Should Have Time To Raise & Enjoy Their Kids, Says Alex Borg

In a video statement, Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg said that parents in Malta should have not just the time but also the natural and social space for raising kids.
Reducing tax for parents who have kids is not a bad measure, said Borg, in reference to the recent Budget 2026 announcements by Finance Minister Clyde Caruana.
‘Many parents work from early in the morning to late into the evening’, he said. ‘Bringing kids into the world is not a national duty or a financial transaction.’
He said parents should have a society that gives them space and time to enjoy their time with their kids as the family is, for the PN, he said, the core of society.
