Abdel Karim Maarouf, a Palestinian child who was seriously injured and brought to Malta for medical care, is now recovering after undergoing a successful operation.
The procedure focused on removing shrapnel and bullets lodged in his leg.
In a statement on social media, the Maltese Embassy to Palestine expressed its gratitude to the Maltese government and the medical professionals at Mater Dei Hospital for their support and assistance.
