Owen Bonnici Congratulates Victoria, Gozo On Pre-Selection For European Capital Of Culture 2031

Owen Bonnici, Malta’s Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, has congratulated Victoria, Gozo, on being pre-selected by an independent panel of experts appointed by the European Union to continue Malta’s journey towards the European Capital of Culture 2031.
“Half congratulations to Victoria, Gozo, for this significant milestone,” Minister Bonnici said. “This recognition reflects Gozo’s strong cultural vision, creative ambition, and sustainable development through the arts.”
He added, “Well done to all involved. There is still a long, hard way to go, but I am confident that Victoria and all of Gozo will rise to the occasion.”
