Over €38,000 Raised In 1 Week For Calvin Brincat To Help In Cancer Battle

Over €38,000 were raised in just over week to help Calvin Brincat, a HazZzard 2025 contestant as he battles pancreatic and liver cancer.

The fundraiser was set up on 4fund.com, aiming to help the 32 year old event planner from Birkirkara who embarked on an adventure with HazZzard Malta two years ago.

‘The fundraiser was launched by a close friend to help cover medical expenses, daily living costs and unexpected needs’, an official statement reads.

‘What followed exceeded all expectations. The campaign gained momentum thanks to the involvement of well-known Maltese artists and influencers, including Eurovision singer Miriana Conte, as well as coverage from local media.’

‘As Calvin himself admits, the hardest part of the diagnosis was not the illness itself, but seeing its impact on his family: “The hardest part was seeing my mum crying.”’

Due to the overwhelming response, the original fundraising target was increased from €50,000 to €70,000.

The fundraiser has now been closed, with over 1,000 people coming together to support Calvin and help ease the financial burden during his treatment.
