Over 900 Cats and 300 Dogs Rescued in 2025

Animal Welfare Malta has announced that more than 900 cats and over 300 dogs were rescued across the island in 2025, providing countless animals with a second chance at life.

Many of the rescued cats were victims of car accidents, while the dogs faced a variety of challenges, including neglect and injury. Thanks to the dedication of the organisation’s team and the support of caring members of the public, these animals were given the opportunity to recover in a safe and nurturing environment.

Each rescue highlights the impact of compassion and teamwork, with every tail wag and purr telling a story of survival. Animal Welfare Malta continues to emphasise the importance of community support and responsible care, encouraging the public to help make a difference in the lives of vulnerable animals.
