Over 650,000 Guests Spent A Night In An Accommodation Establishment In The First Few Months Of 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, the National Statistics Office reported a total of 654,784 guests who stayed in some kind of accommodation establishment in Malta.
This number sees a 15.5% increase from the some time period in 2025.
Collectively, all these guests spent a total of 2,583,078 nights within an accommodation establishment on our island, seeing another 11% increase when compared to Q1 of 2025.
The most popular kind of accommodation among guests proved to be 4 star hotels, with 50.2% choosing to spend their time away there.
The net use of bed-places in the first quarter of 2026 reached 52.9%, marking an other 0.4% increase when compared to 2025.
