Over 6,800 People Got Their Driving License As Of October 2025

According to information tabled in parliament, a total of 6,852 people in Malta got their driving license in 2025 as of October of this year.

Of these, 3,373 were Maltese citizens. The majority of persons got a Category B driving license, with a total of 5,086 people getting this category license.

Of these, 2,539 were Maltese citizens. The information also outlined how 775 in total got a Category A license, with 459 of these being Maltese citizens.

636 persons got their Category C license, with 326 of these being Maltese, and 355 getting a Category D license, with 49 of these being Maltese citizens.

The data, tabled by Minister Chris Bonett also shows the license acquisition data for 2021 up to 2024, as well as how many of these were Maltese citizens.
