Local
In a recent Parliamentary Questions session, it was revealed that a total of 4,098 babies have been born in Malta over the past five years to at least one foreign parent.
The information was provided by the Public Registry of Malta and Gozo and shared in Parliament by the Minister for Home Affairs, Security, Reforms and Equality, Byron Camilleri.
The data was requested by Labour MP Davina Sammut Hili, highlighting the growing trend of multicultural families in Malta.
These figures reflect the increasingly diverse population on the island and underscore the role of foreign residents in Malta’s demographic landscape.
