Over 30% Of Maltese Verify Truthfulness Of Information They Find Online

A survey conducted in 2025 by Eurostat found that 32.62% of Maltese people aged between 16 and 74 verify information and content that they find online.
Participants in the survey were asked whether they verified information they found on the internet with other sources in the 3 months prior to the survey.
Malta’s result sits higher than the European average which is 29.2%.
Ireland has the highest rate of verification at 63.6%, while Greece has the lowest at 9.8%.
