Malta recorded a strong performance in inbound tourism during November 2025, with an estimated 304,620 visitors arriving in the country.

This represents an increase of 15.9% compared with the same month in 2024, reflecting continued growth in travel demand.

Most visitors travelled for holiday purposes, accounting for 276,948 tourists, while a further 17,380 arrived for business.

Tourists aged between 45 and 64 formed the largest age group at 37.6%, followed closely by those aged between 25 and 44 at 36.8%.

British, Polish and Italian residents together accounted for 45.3% of total inbound tourists. Total nights spent increased by 11.1% year on year, reaching 1.9 million nights.

Rented accommodation remained the dominant choice, accounting for 89.2% of all guest nights. The average length of stay stood at 6.2 nights.

Total tourist expenditure during November reached €273.7 million, representing a 13.6% increase when compared with the same month in 2024. Average expenditure per night was estimated at €144.2.

The number of tourists visiting Gozo and Comino, including both same day and overnight visitors, totalled 151,799, or 49.8% of all tourists.

During the first eleven months of 2025, inbound tourist arrivals reached 3,797,206, an increase of 12.6% over the same period in 2024. Total nights spent rose by 10.9% to 24.1 million. Tourist expenditure increased by 18.7% to €3.74 billion, while per capita spending rose to €985.
