Over 25,000 Hybrid And Electric Cars Licensed In Malta By July 2025

Transport Minister Chris Bonett has revealed that Malta had more than 25,000 licensed hybrid and electric vehicles on its roads by the end of July 2025.
In a parliamentary question, Opposition MP Ivan Bartolo asked how many hybrid vehicles were licensed locally. Minister Bonett confirmed that 16,613 hybrid cars had been registered up until July this year.
In a separate question, Bartolo requested figures for electric cars, to which Bonett replied that 8,503 electric vehicles were licensed up until July this year.
