Is-Servizz Pubbliku issued a post of thanks for the 20,175 individuals who donated blood last year.
In a testament to Maltese solidarity, the over 20,000 donors contributed to save lives and support the effective functioning of healthcare systems.
Every day, hospitals rely on donated blood to treat patients undergoing surgery, victims of accidents, people battling cancer and many other instances wherein a small donation could prove vital.
Donated blood cannot be manufactured, making voluntary donors the only source.
Thus, calls for blood donations are always open, with all those who can donate urged to do so to contribute to the healthcare of thousands of people.
