Over 169,000 Youths Aged 16 To 35 Living In Malta In 2024

According to information tabled in parliament, there were 169,899 youth aged 16 to 35, living in Malta as of 2024.
The information was provided by Minister for Finance Clyde Caruana, who was responding to a question posed by MP Bernice Bonello as to how many youth live in Malta.
According to Eurostat data issued late last year, 2025, the average age of Maltese young people leaving their parents’ house was registered at 29 in 2024.
This was above the EU average of 26.2 years registered in the same year.
