Over 150 Foreign Nationals Currently Held In Local Detention Centres

According to information tabled in parliament by Minister Glenn Bedingfield, there are 154 foreign nationals in local detention centres.
The majority are Bangladesh nationals at 60 individuals, followed by Syrian nationals at 17 and Nigerians at 11.

There are also 10 Libyan nationals, 8 Indian nationals and 5 Eritreans.
There are 4 nationals each from Somalia, Pakistan and Gambia, and 3 nationals each from Algeria, Morocco, Ghana and Mali.

There are also 2 nationals each from Botswana, Sudan, Colombia and Cameroon. There are single individuals from the following countries: Palestine, Congo, Uganda, Georgia, Serbia, Senegal, Ethiopia, Philippines, Egypt, Ukraine and Nepal.
