Over 1,000 Non-Fatal Accidents At The Workplace Reported In First Half of 2025

The number of reported non-fatal workplace accidents in the first half of 2025 dropped by 44 cases when compared to the same period in 2024.
A total of 1,041 non-fatal accidents were recorded between January and June 2025, while four fatal workplace accidents were also reported during this period.
The highest number of incidents occurred in the Manufacturing and Construction sectors, each accounting for 13.9% of all reported cases.
These were followed by the Human health and social work activities sector with 122 cases (11.7%), and Administrative and support service activities with 114 cases (11.0%).
Nearly one-third of workers injured were absent for three days or less, while 17.8% of cases resulted in absences lasting 21 days or more.
Injuries to the back, spine, and vertebrae made up over 30% of all cases. The most common types of injuries were wounds and superficial injuries (714 cases), followed by dislocations, sprains, and strains (245 cases).
