Sliema Mayor John Pillow has spoken out after a mountain of foam appeared late at night at the Tower Road fountain. In a video response, he said, “Not cool, our fountain isn’t a bubble bath,” adding, “I hope that some camera close by caught whoever it is.”
According to the mayor, the incident likely happened overnight, as the fountain was clear just a few hours before the foam was discovered.
He also confirmed that it is currently unclear who is responsible, but that an investigation is underway.
