Opera In The Capital Set To Return To Valletta This June

The final details of this year's Opera in the Capital concert were announcedduring a press event attended by Culture Minister Malcolm Paul Agius Galea.
The occasion marked the minister's first appearance at a cultural event organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency since assuming responsibility for the culture portfolio.
Taking place in St George's Square on 27 June at 9:00pm, the concert will bring together some of Malta's leading musical talents.
Alongside Valletta Cultural Agency Chairman Jason Micallef, it was announced that acclaimed tenors Alan Sciberras and Cliff Zammit Stevens will be joined for the first time by mezzo-soprano Marvic Monreal, whose performances have earned widespread praise.
The artists will be accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of young conductor Ryan Paul Abela. Audiences can look forward to a varied programme featuring popular operatic arias, beloved musical theatre pieces and timeless classical favourites.
Set in the heart of Valletta, Opera in the Capital has become a much-anticipated event in Malta's cultural calendar.
With its blend of exceptional vocal performances, orchestral excellence and the unique atmosphere of the capital's historic surroundings, this year's edition promises to deliver a memorable evening for music lovers of all ages.
