On The Spot Fines Set To Be Increased, Says Minister Clifton Grima

In a social media statement, Minister for Justice Clifton Grima said that a discussion is set to begin to increase the on the spot fines.
The fines gave the disciplined forces who encounter illegalities happening on our roads the ability to demand the fine be paid on the spot.
Earlier this month, Home Affairs Minister Glenn Bedingfield also announced that he intended to increase the fines for tourists caught disrupting the public peace or committing offences.
Minister Grima had said that this was not unexpected as residents living in the zones mostly impacted know exactly what they are experiencing.
