Omar Sharif and Johann Vella Confirmed As Police Injured In Shooting

Police officers Omar Sharif and Johann Vella have been identified as the two officers injured in today's shooting.
The incident unfolded after one of the alleged assailants reportedly set fire beneath a group of construction workers, prompting an emergency response from the police.
Upon entering the scene, one officer was shot and became trapped inside the building. Additional officers were deployed to assist, during which a second officer was also shot.
Both officers were rushed to hospital for treatment. One of them is currently in critical condition and is fighting for his life.
