Omar Rababah Thanks PN's Mario De Marco For Support In Exit Speech

During his speech announcing that he will not be contesting the next general election, PN’s Mario De Marco defended Labour candidate Omar Rababah after a slew of racist attacks following the announcement of his candidature.
Commenting on a Malta Daily post on De Marco’s speech, Rababah thanked him, saying he appreciated the message of support immensely. ‘I wish you all the best for your future’, concluded Rababah.
During his speech, De Marco said despite Rababah being of an opposing political party, we must be able to say something is wrong irrespective of who it targets and where it is coming from.
A veteran PN politician and lawyer, de Marco served in several key roles over the years, including Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, later serving as Tourism Minister, and eventually becoming Opposition spokesperson across multiple sectors.
Politics also runs deep in his family roots, with his father, Guido de Marco, having served as former President of Malta and one of the Nationalist Party’s most prominent figures.
