Omar Farrugia Pays Tribute To His Grandfather

Omar Farrugia payed tribute to his grandfather Leli during his election campaign speech in Żabbar, Malta.

He shared how hard working his grandfather was, spending the majority of his life working in the fields, before becoming a bus driver, working 37 years, and having ten children, losing one of them to childbirth.

Farrugia praised his grandfather's commendable work ethic, working from early morning to late at night, not knowing whether he will be able to put food on the table for his famly.

He used to spend a lot of time among the people of Żabbar, the same place Farrugia gave his election campaign speech

Omar Farrugia concluded his message that for many people, he was known as Leli tal-Imqabba, but for him, he will always be known as Leli his grandfather.
